THE SUNNATS OF SALAAT

To raise hands the up to ear-lobes (for men) and up to the shoulders (for ladies) before saying Takbeer-e-Tahrimah (the first saying of Allahu Akbar in Salaat).
While raising the hands for takbeer, to keep the fingers of both the hands raised with fingers naturally apart and facing towards the qiblah.
Not to bend the head when saying Takbeer Tahrima.
Saying takbeer-e-Tahrima and other Takbeers aloud by the Imaam according to the need, while going from one posture to another.
After saying takbeer-e-Tahrimah the men should fold their hands below the navel and ladies upon their breasts - men and women should have the right hand above the left.
To read Thana (in the first Rakaat only).
To read Ta'wwuz (only in the first Rakaat)
To recite the tasmiyyah (complete Bismillah) in every Rakaat before Surah Fatiha.
To say Aameen after the recitation of Surah Fatiha.
To recite Thana, Ta'wwuz, tasmiyyah and Aameen silently.
To say Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) whilst going into Ruku.
To grasp the knees in Ruku with open fingers but women should keep their fingers together.
In Ruku to keep the back and head in the same level; to stretch the hands straight and to keep them away from the ribs. The calves should also be straight. This is for men. Women should bend only to the extent that their hands reach their knees.
To say 'Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeeem' at least three times in Ruku
Whilst coming up from ruku the Imaam should say' Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah' followed by 'Rabbana Lakal hamd' by the Muqtadi. The Munfarid i.e. the one who reads his Salaat alone should say both.
To say "Allahu-Akbar" whilst going into Sajdah.
Whilst going into Sajdah first place the knees, then the hands, then the nose and then the forehead on the ground.
In Sajdah to keep the fingers together facing the Qiblah and the toes should also be turned towards the Qiblah.
Men should keep their thighs away from their stomachs, fore-arms off the ground and upper arms away from ribs i.e. Sajdah should be made with the body not pressed to the ground; a ladies Sajdah, on the contrary, should be pressed to the ground.
In Sajdah to read "Subhaana Rabbiyal A'ala" at least three times.
Whilst raising the head from Sajdah to say 'Allahu Akbar'
In Qa'da or Jalsa (i.e. the sitting between the two Sajdahs) to place the left foot horizontally on the ground and to sit on it and to keep the right foot vertical so that its toes are facing the Qiblah. Also both palms should be placed on the thighs with the fingers facing towards the qiblah.
To say Allahu Akbar and make the second Sajdah.
Whilst coming up from Sajdah to first raise the forehead, then the nose, then the hands and lastly the knees. The hands should be placed on the thighs when raising ones self which should be done without sitting or seeking support upon anything.
To raise the index finger of the right hand as one says 'Ash hadu Alla llaa ha' in Tashahhud.
The recitation of Surah Fatiha in the third and fourth Rakaats of only the Fardh Salaat.
To recite Durood Shareef in the last Qa'da after Tashahhud.
To read Du'a after the Durood Shareef.
To turn the face to the right and left whilst making salaam.
Whilst making salaam to make the intention of greeting the angels, Imaam and fellow Muqtadees.
The Imaam should recite the salaam of the right side in a louder tone than that of the left.
The Muqtadees should turn for their salaam with the Imaam and not delay.
The Masbooq (one who has missed one or more rakaats with the Imaam) should delay his standing up for the completion of his missed rakaats till the Imaam says his second salaam. (FROM NURUL EIDAAH)
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Whoever recites the following three times after Salaat shall get the full reward of his Salaat (TIRMIZI)

SUBHAANA RUBBIKA RABBUL IZZAT AMMAA YASIFOON WASALAAMUN ALAL MURSALEEN WALHAMDULILLAAHI RUBBIL AALAMEEN .
